OOTD: August 5th, 2011

Today is just a casual, laid back day! I went out to eat with my mother this evening at PF Changs. I really REALLY wanted to take these photos in the garden outside the restaurant, but my mother was late for a hair appointment, so I guess my dining room curtains will have to do. Enjoy!

Voila, here's the outfit! This is my first outfit of the day EVER on this blog! So bear with me please! I'm wearing an off the shoulder, loose top that has tan stripes with some blue and gold thread weaved through them. The back of the shirt will grab your attention for sure, but we'll get to that later. I paired it up with this slouchy oatmeal colored cardigan because I was expecting it to get a little chilly as the night went on. I absolutely love the fit of the cardigan, and the buttons are too cute! My white shorts are super comfy and perfect for the summer time, top it off with a skinny dark brown belt and we're ready to hit the town! I didn't want to wear too much jewelry with this outfit because I feel like it would take away from the natural, earthy, plain, almost boho feel that this outfit has. I think anyone wearing this will look simple and casual but also sophisticated.

Note: This top IS sheer, so I definitely made sure to wear a tank top underneath!



Below are pictures of the back of the shirt that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the laced back tops (I think they're way out of style) but I really like that the lace goes all the way down the shirt, instead of just around the top! And please.. ignore my bra strap, hah! It's a tangled up mess, huh?

OH, and I almost forgot! Here's a quick pic of the shoes I was strutting along in with this outfit! They're too cute! But if you wear them for too long, I promise you, you'll get blisters all over! But hey, that's the price we pay to be stylish right? Hah. They're strappy and cute with a hidden heel to give you that extra boost! And I do realize I'm wearing a completely different outfit now! Hahha! I was trying out some new outfits when I realized I had forgotten to photograph my shoes! Oh well. Hope you enjoyed everything! :)
